When I was kid, I always wanted to go to work with my Grandfather, Arnold E. Bruggeman. I saw how he talked to people and could negotiate deals. As a kid, I was fascinated by how he did business. Everyday was a new adventure doing most of the same fundamentals. When I was old enough I would spend the summers working with him. I was continuously learning about more then just logs. I was taught to be a steward of the land and how, what we do today, will affect the future generations.
After I graduated High School, I attended College at Vermillion Community College, in Ely Mn. I graduated in 1998 with a degree in Forestry. I came back and worked in a different field for few months before deciding to go back to work for my Grandfather. It was only a few short years after I started there that he passed. I, then, decided to work at the sawmill my father owned.
Then in 2014 I started to pursue my life long dream of following in my Grandfathers footsteps as a timber buyer. With the support of my kids, I started B&R Logging in January of 2017. Since starting my company I haven't looked back. Every day is a new adventure just like it was when I was a young boy.
